The “Capillas de Marmol” (Marble chapels) are a group of strange, but incredibly beautiful rock formations that sit in the General Carrera Lake and are one of the best known attractions of the Carretera Austral. Declared sanctuaries, the Capillas de Marmol are calcium carbonate formations which over the years have been eroded by the waters of the General Carrera Lake, creating islets which are navigable on small boats.

Day 1. Punta Arenas - Cerro Negro Estancia - Torres del Paine

We’ll pick you up from the airport or your hotel in Puerto Natales, Punta Arenas or Calafate for a scenic trip to the Park. Along the way, if coming from Punta Arenas, you’ll receive an authentic Patagonian welcome with a traditional smoked lamb barbecue and pisco sour at our family-owned Cerro Negro Estancia. Once you have arrived at Hotel Las Torres you will be able to explore our stables or organic garden, dine in our restaurant, enjoy cocktails at the bar or simply marvel at the extraordinary views of the Park.

Day 2. Spa Day at Wellness Center (Half Day)

Start the day with a horseback ride or any other adventure excursion of your interest. After lunch, treat yourself to a relaxing sauna or aromatic jacuzzi and a tranquilizing massage for2. We’ll serve an exquisite appetizer platter and a bottle of champagne in the location of your choice, for you to share a private romantic moment together, while enjoying the magnificent views of the Park and the Paine Massif mountain range.

Day 3. Blue Lagoon (Full Day)

A day trip to the Blue Lagoon (Laguna Azul) is the very best way to enjoy an exclusive, romantic experience in the Park. You will be driven to the lagoon, which is in the most privileged location, with the chance to see guanacos, foxes and condors on the way. Then you will walk along a trial to arrive at an idylic picnic spot on the shores of the Blue Lagoon, from where you will have the best views of Las Torres peaks, while sipping on chilled champagne.

During the rest of your stay you can customize your itinerary with the 11 full and 10 half-day tours that most interest you. LAS TORRES BASE VIEWPOINT

18.8 km, 8 hrs, DIFFICULTY: HIGH

Walk along the foothills of Mount Almirante Nieto, where the combination of the breeze and the view will make your soul feel alive. Granite peaks stand in the distance as you follow the trail along the steep slopes of the Ascencio Valley. Lush trees and vegetation line the river below and your sight extends to the end of the valley, giving you a full view of the hike ahead. You’ll enter a native lenga forest and eventually hit a rocky area, which represents the final, yet hardest, section of the trail. You have the option to do this activity completely on foot. With either option, the excursion starts at the Hotel to quickly take the ascending trail up the Ascencio Valley, passing through a beautiful Lenga forest until it reaches a rocky area. The route crosses icy streams that originate in the glaciers high above and winds through rocks that can be challenging to pass. Your reward at the top is the view of the magnificent Torres del Paine and your reflection in the lagoon below.

CUERNOS TRAIL SECTOR

23.2 km, 6-8 HRS, DIFFICULTY: MEDIUM-HIGH

Take a breathtaking hike between the ominous Mount Almirante Nieto and the ice blue north shore of Lake Nordenskjöld. As you walk along the lake, pristine streams fed by hanging glaciers slash across the rocky trail leading you to the Cuernos sector. You’ll cross a hanging bridge over the Arriero River, make a stop to see the deep blue inge Lagoon, and see moon-like rock and land formations. Located just below a cluster of jagged peaks called Los Cuernos, this area offers incredible, contrasting views of the Lake Nordenskjöld, towering granite peaks, and a thick, deep green treeline. You’ll likely see the whirlwind that look like little tornadoes buzzing from one part of the lake to another.

Back in Puerto Natales you will enjoy a delicious farmer’s lunch that is typical in the area. During the afternoon, you will be free to pursue activities of your choice in Puerto Natales.

EXCURSION FULL DAY PERITO MORENO GLACIER

The excursion begins early in the morning witht the first light of day.  As we cross the Argentine border, in the distance Argentine Lake and the Santa Cruz River can be seen on its way to the Atlantic Ocean.  Upon arriving in Calafate you can get provisions and snacks to take along the way.  Then the hike to the impressive Perito Moreno Glacier.  Inside the park, the trail winds along  connecting a distinct series of staircases  leading to scenic lookouts where you can see the ice giant in all its splendor.

BASE OF TORRES DEL PAINE TREKKING EXCURSION

The adventure begins at 7:30 am over the steppe until you reach Torres del Paine Massif, a 120-million year old granite and  sedimentary formation.

The first third of the hike is a steep and constant climb until you reach the passage of the winds. This is the entrance to Valle Ascencio where you will continue on a soft slope down to Refugio Chileno located alongside a homonymous river that flows to the valley. Over the next stage of the hike we will follow along the river’s edge through the forest where you will get peeks of the mountains with its glaciers.  Campamento Torres will be waiting for us.

The last stage is a climb climbed up the morrena to one of the most visited and beautiful lookouts that the Patagonia has.

Day 3. FULL DAY AT ESTANCIA LA PENINSULA (Peninsula Farm) - Puerto Natales

An experience that invites you to live and learn what life is like on a Patagonian farm (estancia) – a unique and authentic experience. 

The tour begins at 8:30 am with a shuttle from the hotel to the dock. After half an hour of sailing, you will arrive to the Peninsula, where, in addition to being welcomed, visitors will receive an explanation of the upcoming activities.  Here you can choose between horseback riding, trekking or 4-Wheel drive.

After this entertaining activity in the stay, you will enjoy a typical Patagonian lunch with a small demonstration of sheepdogs, where you will be able to know a little more about the race of these working animals, in addition to a demonstration of Shearing with explanation of the process of removal of wool and as you come from the raw material to the product End.

Small free time and return to the Hotel in Puerto Natales.

The Hostería Monte Balmaceda is situated close the mouth of the Rio Serrano, in front of a big glacier mountain. The only way to join the place is by boat or walking a couple of days. Guaranteed pristine nature! It is an unique stop on the water way to the Torres del Paine National Park.

Departure from your hotel to visit the Civic Centre, the Presidential Palace La Moneda built in 1846, Main Square, the Cathedral, Post Office and downtown, continuing to B. O’Higgins Ave.and the old residential areas including the Club Hipico Race Track and O’Higgins Park. Tour proceeds through Club de la Union Building, Universidad de Chile and Santa Lucía hill where the city was founded (1541). Visit to Bellavista area, full of nice Cafes and Restaurants, Theaters etc, and going up the San Cristobal hill to obtnain the best views of Santiago. Free time for pictures and continue visiting the new residential areas of Las Condes, Vitacura and Providencia.

 Day 03: SANTIAGO - VIÑA DEL MAR & VALPARAISO

The excursion starts travelling through the green and fertile valleys of Curacavi and Casablanca, towards Valparaiso, a picturesque harbour located by the Pacific Ocean. The ride includes a tour through the narrow avenues of the port, The Plaza Sotomayor in front of the Pratt wharf. The Artilleria funicular, dated since 1898, one of the oldest means of transportation in use, that will allow a most spectacular sightseeing of the bay together with the remarkable architecture of the old houses built on the hills that surround the port.

Taking the route by the sea, tour proceeds to Viña del Mar, a summer resort also called Ciudad Jardin, due to the beauty of its parks and meadows.

Departure from Puerto Montt to Puerto Varas and begin our drive along the shores of Lake Llanquihue to Ensenada and Petrohue. The trip includes a vist to the beautiful Petrohue water falls. (Fees are not included) Continue to Petrohue Lake Port and board catamaran to sail across lake Todos los Santos, also known as Emerald Lake due to the colour of its waters and arrive to Peulla.

Morning departure for a half-day sightseeing tour of Bariloche and the sorrounding outskirts (called Circuito Chico). Drive around the winding shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi from where Huemul Island can be seen; continue on to Campanario Hill for the impressive cable car ride to the summit (over 3300 ft) from where a panoramic view of the Andes range and the town of Bariloche and its nearby lakes and lagoons can be seen.

The excursion continues towards the Bahia Lopéz, Playa Bonita, Barrio Residencial and Llao-Llao peninsulas.

During the afternoon, departure for a City Tour around Punta Arenas including a visit to the Mirador, which has a splendid view over the city and the straits of Magellan, the main neighborhoods and avenues. The Regional Museum will allow passengers to observe interesting ethnographic and anthropologic samples of the area, as well as a good display of the local flora and fauna. Tour proceeds later to visit the Instituto Patagonico, where we will learn about the history and the development of the region.
