Moray boasts three amphitheater-like terraces, made by the Incas. These terraces, which are carved deep into the earth, in the shape of a bowl, were thought to be used to determine the optimal conditions for growing crops.

When you are done exploring Moray, you will head about two miles away, to the salt mines of Maras. This village is known as a former salt-producing center and is thought to date back all the way to pre-Incan times. - Andean Wedding ceremony

Andean Wedding ceremony

Celebrate an unforgettable Inca-style wedding, the symbolic ceremony of love for single couples or married couples wishing to renew their vows. It is a unique private experience in the midst of incomparable natural beauty. This ancestral ritual that takes place in a setting decorated with flowers and coca leaves recreates a mystic scenario where the Inca gods are invoked by the Andean priest, who will make your relationship as a couple last through eternity. In the Andean wedding ceremony, not only do the people present participate, also are present all the Sacred Deities considered in the Andean religion. We can mention here the main ones that constitute the Andean Duality which is composed of THE APUS (Mountain Spirits), representing the masculine side and THE PACHA MAMA (Earth Mother), representing the woman and in addition to these two Main Deities, Water is considered as the element that represents Purity and Fire which symbolizes the force.

The ceremony (1 h) includes:

Services of an Andean priest “Aqllas” or ceremonial assistants / Private interpreter / Flower arrangements: floral arch and carpet of flowers / Bouquet / Typical Andean attire for the bride and groom / Offerings / Champagne for toasting / Gift for the bride and groom
